Thanks to our passion and dedication to environmental protection and sustainability, we have been certified according to the environmental management standard ISO 14.001 since November 2021.
Together with our entire team, we are committed to ensuring a more sustainable future. Our contributions to environmental protection comprise a large number of diverse actions.
We have switched to digital data processing to a large extent in order to reduce our paper consumption. Invoices and order-related data, for example, are only stored digitally. Thanks to our focus on good planning and avoiding waste when manufacturing our products, we are able to save further resources. Furthermore, wastewater from concrete production is treated in our own in-house wastewater treatment plant. In addition, our degreasing plant operates on an aqueous basis.
In order to cater to our customers in the best possible and environmentally friendly way, we have chosen to work with a forwarding agent that also makes a contribution to protecting the environment.
The waste resulting from our operations is disposed of professionally by our trained employees. This helps us to ensure that our materials can be recycled. By using only energy-saving LEDs on our premises, we minimize our energy consumption.
We also encourage our employees to be more aware of the environment in their private lives. Furthermore, we provide company bicycles so that employees can commute to work in an environmentally friendly manner. This means that in 2021 we have already been able to save 280 kg of CO2 since the time the bicycles were purchased.
In order to offset our CO2 emissions and increase our commitment to the environment, we also support reforestation in Meckesheim with a donation.
